Using the weather desk

The public weather desk is free to browse without a visitor account. Locations are fixed to Skagway and the nearby highway corridor; the website does not request your GPS location, contacts, camera or microphone. Your preferred measurement units are stored in your browser.

Forecasts and observations

We retrieve public weather forecasts and station measurements to display conditions and evaluate forecast performance. The learning system stores weather records, not visitor location histories. Forecast and observation records retain up to 90 days; operational job records up to 30 days and learning decisions up to 180 days.

Service providers

Hosting, weather providers, your browser and external camera viewers may process network information such as IP addresses and request logs under their own policies. This website has no advertising or third-party analytics SDK. External links open their respective providers’ websites.

Public beta

We are evaluating forecast performance. Automated adjustments are limited to matching locations and variables with sufficient evidence. This website does not claim to be the most accurate weather service, and an absence of displayed alerts does not replace official hazard information.
